Calendar of the project Media-Info (years 2 and 3)

October-November 2007 - Selection of the project teams for the second year of the school development project “Media-Info” and presentation of the calendar of the project; Organisation of the projects workshops: a) the Research lab; b) the Media lab; c) the Translation lab. Start of the activities. There will be a change in the structure of the workshop – media and computers that will have a new component – sound recording – for the radio. The soft introduced will be Winamp, Php – Shoutcast Beta, Nullsoft Shoutcast source for setting up the radio beginning with the site of the project http://www.media-info.uv.ro . There will be founded a special workshop of the Media Lab: “Types of Radio “ for the producers of programs of the Radio Media-Info station.
The coordinating institution will have the task of implementing the radio. It will communicate the procedures to the partners. The teaching staff – the teachers taking part in the project from each institution involved

October 2008 In all the institutions involved in the project: reorganizing the project teams for the third year of the project. New workshops in the Media lab in each institution: Workshop T.V. Announcers; Workshop TV Cast; a thematic adaptation of the other workshops for the central theme of television. There will be introduced software for achieving a television broadcasted on the internet, just like the radio a year before. The curriculum “Competences in media” obtained during the second year of the second year of the project will also be applied in each institution. The coordinator will transmit all the directions concerning technical aspects and the recordings archives.
The themes to be studied and debated upon by the teachers will be: 1) The TV Reportage, 2) The TV Interview; 3) Journalism on-line – the internet as a way of transmitting information. All these themes can be applied in the language classes and social sciences classes. The coordinator will establish the structure of the approaches and will centralize the results that will be included (together with other previous studies) in the third part of the training course Comenius 2.2 for teachers.
For the TV programs, there will be achieved documentaries about the past and present of the towns and countries taking part in the project, fiction short reel movies, interviews. There will be a common effort of the partners. The coordinator will classify the recordings and will introduce them in the site of the project www.media-info.uv.ro. the last part of the Encyclopedia Media, dedicated to television, will come to an end by the contributions of each institution, by articles in the native language and in widely circulated languages; the coordinator’s role will be to establish the final form of the product.
